Hello
New here, expecting the delivery of my new Polo R-Line this month
Metallic White Silver with Black Roof Pack
17" Bonneville Black alloy wheels
Active Info Display
Had a text last week saying your order process has moved to 5b of 7, anyone know what that means? I've been reading on here that some people believe they go from South Africa to Germany before come to the UK, could this stage be the car on its way from Germany, dealer says mid to late april.
Also whats the standard sound system like, I'm coming from an A1 which has the "Audi Premium Sound" fitted (subwoofer +7 speakers at 300w) and I enjoy my music, it was my favorite part of the A1.
I have seen these Helix "plug and play" systems but none seem to say compatible with the MK6 Polo but I assume they are as they work with the current golf.
Thanks
Ash

Welcome to the forums, enjoy your stay.
Regarding the deliver there’s a thread here:

Standard sound system is decent, if you apply the settings I’ve posted here:

The helix sux will likely fit in the polo mk6, but it will be a lot of trouble to pull the wires etc. proabably not worth it.

These are the tracker stages for the Golf - assume stage 5b is the same for the Polo as Polos also arrive in the UK via Emden;
1: Processing order.
2: Order with the factory - parts are being ordered and are awaiting supply dates.
3: BW confirmed - all parts are at factory and vehicle has been scheduled for build / a confirmed a date for build is issued.
4: Build in progress.
5a: in transit: left the factory.
5b: in transit: shipping - at Emden waiting a boat.
5c: in transit: nearly here - on boat to the UK.
6. Arrived in the UK - awaiting transportation to the dealer.
7. At dealer - for PDI and delivery to customer.

So the VW app seems to of updated to “Next stage of its journey to the UK” so I’m hoping this means it should be arriving in the next week!

I don't want to dampen your excitement but I was told this only means it's left the factory and is on it's journey to the port, not on a boat. Saying that, they told me it was on a ferry and it was on a completely different ferry to the one I was told, so you might well see it next week!!

you guys are happy to even have this info. I purchased mine in January this year, they told me it will arrive in 6 months, and there is no app, no code, nothing to see where the car is at the moment. It seems only you from UK have this tracking info.

I found a stain on the side of the seat, not sure what it is haven’t had chance to properly look at it. Don’t know if I should just try wipe it off or call the dealer

I would recommend taking back to dealer.
