I am refitting the head on my 1.2 6V 3 cylinder polo and the head gasket kit came with a green set of o rings and a black set. The green set are the correct diameter but protrude more than the original black ones when fitted, whilst the black ones unfitted look smaller in diameter.

I'm confused as to which ones are correct and if anyone can provide advice I'd be most grateful.

I have a 1.4 9NBUD. The inlet manifold gasket for mine is the green one. Go to 7zap.com, enter your VIN and check the correct part number for the inlet manifold gasket for your engine.
