1.4 tdi, best way to get a bit more power

Just picked up a 2002 1.4 tdi, a stage one is soon to be booked and the heads going to be skimmed as the head gaskets on the way out but just wandering what else I can do to give it a bit more poke without having to upgrade big money internals, injectors, intercoolers ect ect. Also wanting a exhaust that’s popping and banging it’s nuts off so if anyone’s got any recommendations that would be good
