Saw my first new GTi on the road yesterday

As above, finally seen a new Polo GTi on the road yesterday morning, was a red 18 plate + model with Bresica's on the slip road from the M56 to the M53 (Chester\North Wales bound), anyone here?
I see lots of SE's, Beat's and even the odd R-Line but not seen a GTi until now, not sure if that is a good thing or not!

I’ve also only seen one current model GTI on the road, also red but a not a ‘plus’.

Starting to see them everywhere. The last one I saw (19 plate) was dropping off my neighbours next door and I shouted over "nice car!" Turns out the car belongs to one of their family members. I continue to say you will see one parked up here (pointing to my driveway) in a couple of weeks with any luck, to which he responded is yours in "Machester Red" too? I had to disappoint him, guess he is a fan of Manchester United
A few weeks before I followed one for a bit driving through Plaistow (68 plate). Wasn't a London plate so the driver was from outta-town or managed to get one elsewhere.

I've seen loads of 18/19 plate Polo's (one R line) in South Wales. Have yet to see another GTI though.
Funnily enough I did see a 16 plate Polo GTI on the weekend, was really nice.

Just come to play football at my regular spot and I've ended up parked next to a white one.
I notice a couple of features that tell me it is not a plus.
Not seen one since getting mine.
Only saw a couple before that too.

Overtook a Limestone Grey R Line last night. I was driving my own Limestone Grey R Line.
It was a nice moment

Popped to the shops earlier and where I park, to keep out of the way of the crowded parking spaces, was a 2019 red Polo, although not a GTi.
Parked a couple of open parking spaces away.
I bet they spotted an almost identical and similar plate car next to theirs when they returned. They had gone by the time I had come back to my car.
