After a gear linkage bracket for Polo 6N

Hi
My son has a 1997 Polo 1.4 CL and the bracket that holds the gear linkages has broken. This is held onto the main block by 2 bolts (please see photo's). I have tried having it professionally welded but it has failed again. Does anyone have a vehicle that they are breaking for spares that may have this part on please?
