Lowering without springs

Post by KamakaziGod »

I have a 1.4 8v 6N2 polo on 14 inch Starlites, and I'm still in my first year on the road. I was wondering if there is a way to lower it without changing springs as I would have to declare it on my insurance. It might sounds like a stupid question but someone mentioned there might be shocks with a lower spring seat, has any one heard of that or have done it? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi bud the shortened shocks need to go with the lowering springs. If you fit the shortened shocks to original springs then the shocks will fail due to the size of the spring being too long for the piston in the shock absorbers
