Interior Ambient Lighting, power from light switch?

Hello everybody,

I need some help installing some interior ambient lighting 12V led-strips. They receive 12V from the lighter socket, via an adapter. However i want to hardwire them to maintain a clean look.

The plan is to have the LED strips turn on, when the rest of the car dashboard/interior lights are on, meaning, when the light switch is in any position other than "0".

(I could hardwire them directly to the lighter socket, but that would mean that the light strips would turn on when the ignition switch is on, even at daytime when the rest of the interior/dashboard is not lit, which is not preferable.)

Is it possible to get 12V power directly from the light switch (in every position other than "0"). Maybe the fusebox? Some relay? Also, i think the car's dashboard dimmer switch must not interfere with the lightstrip's 12V supply.

Here's a photo album fully showcasing the light switch and its wiring.

Any help greatly appreciated guys. Thanks!

Thank you so much dear ciclo. I really appreciate your help every time.

I tried not to bother you too much with questions, so I did my homework and bought a relay socket/holder (4H0 937 527), a 4-pole relay (4H0 951 253A), contacts/wires for the fusebox and T17 light-switch connector.
Almost ready to do this, but I would like to ask some follow up questions:

What would be your preference for a good ground point near the lightswitch/relay carrier/fusebox?
Maybe the ground wire on the T17 itself? Some ground wire from the fusebox? In any case, i do not know which wire is ground either from the T17 or the fusebox so i would appreciate your guidance on that.
Perhaps i need to tear some insulation/carpet?

Here are the light-switch wires again:

I'll make sure to post some beauty shots if this whole thing is successful. Thanks!

(for example)

7 are my favorite points in general terms  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tuLt2f ... R1KrD/view 1.2.3

In the fuse box there are no ground points, only positive signals ... hmmm .... omg!

It is not recommended to touch the ground wire on the T17 light switch connector, under any circumstances.
