Alternative factory head units

Hi all,
My wife has a 2004 polo twist with a basic CD radio that stopped working so I need to swap it. I want to keep it looking factory standard so want to swap it with something from VAG but an upgraded unit would be better. As a minimum adding aux but a usb or SD slot would be good, maybe even Bluetooth and sat nav. How far I go depends on what’s on eBay at a good price.
I need to know what cars and ages I should be looking at or model numbers for head units. I know some require canbus and setting up with software but I’m hoping on this polo it’s simpler than that.
Wiring harnesses, adaptors and the rear mounting bracket I can deal with but don’t want to get in to coding.
Any suggestions, tips or head units for sale?
Thanks
