Hi everybody
Just got my new polo GTI and looking for winter allows.
Thinking about white OZ Rally Racing in 18” 8” wide ET45.
Do anyone know if those will fit?
Or should I rather go for 18” 7,5” wide ET48?
Thanks in advance!
Rasmus

https://www.willtheyfit.com You're welcome
Input your sizes and you will get the differences, the poke, etc. Very helpful tool.
I believe official statement is ET45. My 16" winter rims are ET48, and they are pretty much as far out as they can legally get while still being inside the fender. (In many EU countries the outer most face of the rim has to be within the fenders.)
17" Parker wheels on a GTI are 215/45/R17 ET51 on 7.5Jx17 rims.
18" Brecias are 215/40/R18 ET51 on 7.5Jx18 rims.
Here's a snip from my registration:

Thinking logically about this, surely the trend in countries where the fitting of winter wheels+tyres is advisable or mandated, the plan is always to reduce the tyre width and increase the side wall for better survivability in extreme winter conditions in Northern Europe and Scandinavian countries in particular.
Going for 18" wheels seems to me to be bucking that established trend, I'd be aiming for a maximum of 195 tyre width on what ever diameter of wheel that VW advises for Polo GTI.
