Emden Delays??

So my polo has been stuck at Emden for the past 2 weeks, waiting to be allocated to a ship
I’ve spoken to my dealer and they said they have no clue as to why it is taking so long, and that is should have been in the UK by now.
Has anyone else had or having any issues with their shipping?

Maybe just the slow state of the market at this point in the sales year than does not justify the normal regular delivery service that exists at other times of the year.

Could be exactly that - waiting for a full ship's worth of cars to send. It's a quiet time of the year for car sales anyway, some people may have been putting off getting a new one due to Brexit uncertainty, making it even quieter, and the MK7.5 Golf is on the brink of going out of production for the incoming MK8 - people not buying many Golfs right now as a result.

I think monkey hanger is on the money...

I wonder if ours is stuck in the same log jam?
Will be asking the dealer tomorrow if he has a clear idea of delivery date.
Xmas is coming and the outgoing car will go on the 19th.
My only hope is that dealers have a slight incentive to register cars before the end of December.

When I ordered mine I was told 20 weeks, which was October.
My current car has its MOT on 21st December... something that I definitely hadn’t budgeted for, as it was already supposed to have my new car
I’m really hoping that it arrives before then, otherwise I’m going to be skint.

Will your car need any work to get it through its MOT?
if it's only the cost of an MOT, ask if your dealership will do it for nowt, as the car will be approx 10 weeks late if it doesn't turn up by then.

It needs 2 new front tires, which wouldn’t have needed changing if I’d have got my car when they said it would arrive.

I got a message this morning to say that my vehicle has moved to stage 5c, and is now on its way to the UK.
Hopefully I’ll receive it next week, before my current MOT is due!
