Hi All,
Should this car have central locking?
Im looking at buying it (for the Mrs) privately, and Im sure it should have (I own a Mk4Golf SDI same age) but the vendor says not,
Any advice?

Try and get a photo of the data label that has all the codes on, label usually stuck to inside of handboook or service book and also usually stuck to paintwork under trim in the boot. If not, get VIN and contact VW.
