Has any one had problems with Google Maps?

It's not just Google maps but every now and then our GTi plus refuses to connect with any iPhone. Bit annoying when you're some where distant and you need navigation.

A (very) long press of the on off buuton generally sorts it. On odd occassions the radio has stayed on after the car is switched off and locked. There's no display on the screen, totally black and what ever I do has no effect at all radio continues to play

I use Android Auto without fail each time. Only problem I have is that the Google Assistant appears to be muted becuase I dont hear it even though the radio mutes (as if Google Assistant is talking).

Only problem I keep getting with Android Auto is being asked to allow the car to access my messages every time I plug it in. I always click 'Yes' on my phone but it doesn't remember for next time.

I had a similar issue with Android Auto that often failed to connect or became disconnected whenever I clattered over a bump in the road. It turned out that the USB port on my phone was full of fluff and lint which was stopping the cable from going in fully. It charged ok but was unreliable for data such as Android Auto. Since digging it all out with a sewing pin I've not had the problem since.

yeah ... have same problem. I think from previous android auto update or from last time i flashed my phone rom. Also one from 50 connection colors on head unit screen goes crazy while in android auto mode. It actualy starts normaly, then stuck for 2sec and then colors go rainbow mode :D Problem is still here after new cable, new usb port on my phone and i even flashed phone rom few times already. It feels like hardware problem with my galaxy S9 but was unable to solve it nor do it by my wish so I live with it.

You can only adjust volume for assistant whilst it is talking, try turning volume up whilst it's doing the talking, hopefully that will work for you :-)

I've been having issues with the volume. The Assistant voice is inconsistent- sometimes like a whisper sometimes shouting. Meanwhile Spotify/Pocket Casts are almost always far too quiet- with the volume on max, it's more like halfway with the radio (if not quieter).

I also use Android Auto without fail. The only problem I have is that my Samsung S10 refuses to pair with Bluetooth when I get in the car, my previous S8 pairs without a problem, the S10 connects for a few seconds and hangs up, has anyone else happened?

Tested it today, volume setting is fine... still no Google Assistant voice for weather, traffic notifications, etc...

GPS navigation works 100% with audio directions clear as day but just not the Google Assistant.
