Hi guys i have checked all over, I put a post up about my headunit in another topic, but now another problem,
I noticed when turning left or right with indicators there is no clicking or very faint, also putting key in ignition i get 1 beep thats all but no error lights on dash, also interior light does not come on when i open door but it does when i unlock door with key in. also no alarm buzzer when i leave lights on, Has me baffled as someone said about the instrument cluster, could be at fault seaker on it, but can here that 1 beep when i put key in ignition, could this be a relay somewhere for indicators.

Not sure where it is but there is an explanation of the beeps and what they mean.

You could try Googling for VW beep codes or something like that.

If you have a diagnostics lead that might help pinpoint the problem.

Sounds like the dash pod "instruments" has some cracked solder joints and maybe even a faulty buzzer, though I'd think that was it sounds for some events it will just be cracked solder joints that need reflowing again.

The door/lights on buzzer/interior light switching if not resolved with sorting out the dash pod, could be either wiring broken at the door hinge position and/or the driver's door lock module - more likely the driver's door lock module as when you use the key in that door you are manually unlocking that door.

Now you mention that I'm wondering if I have a similar problem, with the lights warning buzzer seemingly out of action.

The single beep with no warning lights could possibly be the service interval reminder, look for a spanner icon to the left of the mileage read out. To turn it off, push and hold in the stalk coming out of the gauge cluster, turn the key to position 2 hold for a couple seconds then rotate the stalk left then hold right until light goes out (should only be a couple seconds).

Thank you for all the replies. First thing is there is no spanner for service with the 1 beep. I noticed today i had a bulb out on rear cluster think it was a side light one when i took it out i then heard my warning buzzer sound as i had had taken the offended bulb out, need to get 1 from the shop tomoz, so i thought i would try the indicators again, they have now started clicking. I thought great fixed that, but put cluster back in minus dead bulb, went out for a drive ticking noise on the indicators very faint and no warning buzzer again with lights left on? so could this be because i have no new bulb or maybe an earth fault on a rear cluster?

Funny you mention that as all my doors open with the key except passanger door with central locking . so maybe this could be the fault also?

update on buzzing noise you should here when leaving lights on when taking key out. as i said in previous post about it making a noise with rear bulb out. Turns out tried again today with rear cluster of the boy alarm came back. so put new bulb in connected all back up and guess what no noise from alarm again. so this has me baffled

Well at least that means that it was not a coincidence the first time you removed the rear light cluster - needs more looking into I'd think, including making sure that all the bulbs on both sides are the correct type, places like Halfords tended to have duff info wrt bulbs on some cars, and Polo 9N was one of them - down to either the bayonet pins had wring offset or not staggered height wise, maybe remove them all from that side and refit the cluster and take it from there adding them back in one by one.
