Mines just plain , before I had the car I did think I would remove the gti badge off the tailgate and stick that on the engine cover

At least you get an engine cover. My wife’s got one on her polo SE too but my troc didn’t get one. It also didn’t get more than just primer under the bonnet!

Guys it is same cover as used on first gen 3b engines used in tiguan. Nothing special to see .. even on gti. Not sure if golf cover would fit but my guess is not. It is shame tho :/

//looked to etka and same is used on arteon, tiguan and troc

Code: Select all

polo gti engine cover: 06K103925CE
tailgate polo gti badge: 5G0853675AC JZQ

Looking at a Golf Forum, their engine cover will fit the Polo Gti engine however its in 2 parts and there were issues with the lower part becoming loose, dropping down and fowling the engine - This has totally put me off the idea as I've done a bit of research, check out this link: https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/2985 ... over-idea/

Cheers

19 Plate GTI here and I have the WV logo and TSI on the cover on mine.

Does anyone else find that the cover keeps coming loose? Most times when I lift the bonnet to do maintenance it has popped off its supports. I suspect when driving the car hard on some rough roads is enough to jolt it free from the supports.

This was on the GTI in the review , I put a grill badge on mine , I'll take a photo when I get it back , it's having some paintwork seen to at the moment.

Both my 2018 GTI+ and the wife's 2019 one have TSI and VW badge on it. Not bothered either way, I only see it when topping up my screen wash and checking my oil.

Just picked my GTi+ yesterday and this was the first thing I thought - I saw the review of the tagged picture above and will be going back to VW to ask for the proper one.
Also what about car keys?.. anyone just get the black plastic key ring loops with no chrome bottoms?

I had all round plastic key but I think chrome parts are for keyless entry (maybe?). well I ordered mine from aliexpress and replaced them on my own (10min of work).
