MirrorLink

After asking about Apple CarPlay I realised I would need to change my head unit and everything however with my version of the composition media system there should still be a MirrorLink app. I have heard the head units with CarPlay have voice button where the mute button is on the older unit. With the older unit it should have a MirrorLink option however I don't have one which is strange as my Grans 2015 Polo has the same head unit but an orange colour scheme and MirrorLink, whereas mine is a blue colour scheme without mirror link.

if you can't get app connect then you can't get mirror link unfortunately
i had the mirror link unit that can't get app connect in my 2015 gti but i have changed to a newer unit so should be able to get app connect now.

But still not activated? Is your usb port the correct one?

the usb port is correct as app connect worked fine when the unit was in CP mode. yeah need to pay to get the whole app connect activated
