Brake Upgrade

Post by Craig 6r »

Hi...I have a 2011 Polo Gti 1.4 Twincharge with stage 1 and was thinking about upgrading to 312mm discs...can I use my 288mm caliper with a 312mm Carrier or should I just put some Brembo max grooves discs on instead.....thanks for any help...

Yes certainly you can. But there is a catch, you'll have to code your ABS in such a way that it can distribute the braking force evenly between the front and the rear.

If you have the 256mm and want to put 288 and 310 you must replace the hubs. If you have the 288 you can install the 310mm brake with only replace disc and calipers

I’ve buyed the 310mm brake caliper of gti 6c and original are marked to use with the 310mm disc. But zimmerman don’t produce sport disc for the 310mm. I’ve buyed the disc from ibiza cupra 160hp 312mm and fit perfect on that caliper.

Same for me, I got the 312mm discs for Audi S1 2.0 TFSI. Fits perfectly.
