how much oil to fill from min to max

my polo needs to be topped up. Any idea on how much between min and max on dipstick

Should be about halfway the dipstick with a cold engine.

If I were you, I'd buy 1 litre of oil and added half of it, then check to see how far that raises the oil level on the dip stick, and only then if necessary, add the remaining 0.5 litre.
