Strange Knocking Sound

Hi,
I drive a 2010 1.2 Polo with 87,000 miles on the clock. For the past few months I have been noticing a faint rattle which seems to be coming from the offside front somewhere. This past months it has been getting louder to the point where it is noticeable and very annoying. Typically the sound occurs on uneven and bumpy roads at speeds over 5mph (E.g every road besides the motorway). The car has just been serviced and they did not mention anything to me. I have had a look at drop link and It looks to be fine.
