Never thought DSG hesitancy was an issue with the GTI's 6 speed DSG, but the 7 speed wet clutch on the A4 has a very noticeable pause and then it's off like a rocket (Quattro - no wheelspin/tramping).

Giving serious consideration to slapping a DTUK box on my A4 2.0TDI 190ps to get it up to 240ps/500Nm. Had one on my Golf GTD (essentially the same engine) and it made a hell of a difference.

Because there going to be a big increase in torque the standard map is rated to 400nm anything over that you need new map. Plus I was recommended to have it done as makes the car better to drive with the engine map as well

Well the remap is done and a update to the DSG gearbox have been done could not really test it out on the Journey home because of the bad weather but you can feel a big surge of power coming in from 1900 rpm and really pushes you back in your seat. So got a extra 50 bhp so takes it to 250bhp and torque a extra 100 so takes it to 420 nm ! When I fit a new intercooler and milltek exhaust he said I can increase power and torque again as the intercooler is a bit of a weak point as they are so small they can’t cool enough. So look forward to some dry roads so I can test what it’s really like 😁😁😁

Because I live in wales I had it done 28 miles away Tonypandy he’s got a Facebook page Jorvik Tuning Wales a normal price for stage one remap is £160 and a extra £30 for the DSG update all are custom maps to the car as he does a full diagnostics of the car first to see if there are any problems with the car if there any problems with engine health he won’t remap it as he says it’s a waste of money and could do harm to engine. As when I was there a boy had a polo diesel there with 160000 miles on the clock and wanted it remapped and told him no! As he not that type of person that would willing to take your money and do it and the engine goes bang after 6 months plus it would not look good for him!
