Hi Ciclo,

Sorry for late response as was not keeping well.

So i did try the above code you mentioned. Still no parking lights when headlights are on.

Also with the headlights on when I use highbeam flash function the low beam flickers once to twice. Sometimes the right side sometimes the left side.

Also an update since I purchased odis for tpms and mke fatigue level, I was able to check the eeprom of BCM

Did use the following Security Access 84244

Checked 2B03 and the value is 20

But when i try to edit it to 28 and write it, it gives me an error. Have attached the pictures below. Please if possible check and let me know if i am doing something wrong

Software used is ODIS Engineering

Sorry have no idea about eeprom stuff thats why so many questions.

Ohh i dont have the high beam issue if i use 67 in byte 18.

The only issue i have is parking lights not working with headlights. The address 2B03 is correct the for pwm control of parking lights?

Since i had odis I thought will check the value of the same. As i read on this forum that if value is not 28 parking lights dont work properly with LED headlights.

Yes, address 2B03 is correct.

I have never written the cells in the eeprom of a control unit with ODIS E, however you have the manual on how to do it on your computer.
Find the manual on your computer:

By double clicking on a row or with the "F2" key the user can activate an editing dialog for the selected row... Keep reading...

Functions to read or write memory cells are available in the list of control units in the "Diagnostic functions" section as input "010.02 Memory cells".

Hi ciclo,

Yes i did use memory cell options 10.02 for read/write eeprom.

But it doesn’t seem to work. I am able to read eeprom with 84244, but not able to write it. It shows the above error.

Have used end of assembly mode also but no success.

Currently using ODIS E 14.1. Is this a problem? Should I use a lower version? With this version was able to flash the mke fatigue level and tpms dataset but not able to do this

Should i try different project? Current using VW25X

Function not available error pops up when necessary conditions are not met for that particular job. I too see it sometimes in my ODIS-E 14.1.
What I do when above error pops up is, restart the ignition ( engine off ), rerun the diagnostic session and repeat the process. Works for me. Sometimes it takes few attempts!

Plan B: Try to find original VCP near you, it's much easier with it.

IMHO

- For VAS (clone) is always better to have the OS and OE versions that the Masters of the Universe and other Demons have... implemented/vitaminized/updated with updated postsetups. OS 7.2.1 & OE 12.2.0 work 'Wonderfully'.

- For Original VCP there are different opinions about how it works, some don't like it and others like me think it's 'F4nt4stic'.

- Genuine VCDS is 'Essential', for fast, clean and safe jobs (as many of you already know).

A good triad to have to solve many problems or have a good time.😊

OBD11 is also good, but I don't have it.
Then there are all those other great tools for ECUs (engine) and others for various experiments... 🤭

Hi everyone,

Thank you ciclo, patil and iichel for all the help.

But unfortunately the ODIS Engineering I have is not able to edit the EEPROM. Maybe its because of the device or software, not sure about it. Now need to search someone who has VCP so that I can get this issue rectified as soon as possible.

In the mean time I was able to get a hands on BCM Max 090C that supports LED Lights. With this I checked the coding and everything works fine that means no issue with wiring or headlights.
