Hello to all.Newbie here.

I bought recently a '99 Polo 1.0.
Car runs superb for its age, except one problem.
The rear door unlock, but it doesn't lock every time I turn the key.
Every time also I use the key I hear the PSE vacuum motor running for around 30". Is this normal? If not, could this be the reason for the rear lock malfunction? Or this is faulty as well?

The door locks are pneumatic

A leak means the mechanism won't move correctly. They also suffer from corrosion in the control module in front of the right rear lights. One of my early posts showed how to stop that happening
