vw polo 1.4 16v g71 sensor p1156 fault code

Hi guys
I wondering if anyone has had this problem before on Polo 2003 1.4 16v
Comes up with CEL and EPC light
Scanned with my Ancel scanner and comes up g71 sensor p1156 MAP fault short open / ground.
Checked wiring replaced MAP which made run worse cleaned throttle body and EGR fixed vacuum leak from crack in brake booster hose .
Car has EPC light on but is not in limp mode runs rough when cold but fine when warm and drinking loads of petrol a time
Scanning removes light but comes back instantly
