I have finished retrofitting a highline instrument cluster, CCS,MFSW with CCE, and OPS
I have inspired a lot from you forum
My next project is bam max with RLS, Auto lights, and HBA
I have order most of the parts, still missing Auto light switch and a pair of T10 terminal

Yes, but as you know you will have to make more adaptations to the wiring.

If you have a wire from T73b/4 to T6aa/3, this will probably enable the illumination of the buttons.
And I think it makes sense to first complete all the wiring and then look at the coding.

Anyway, have a look at byte 23 bit 6 to enable your DRL (if they are now through the BCM).

It is mandatory that you install the wire that reaches T73a/62 but not from fuse sb28a because you want to install HBA.

In the following diagram you must follow the same instructions but only what is indicated for the Stalks and BCM. (pin1 on both BCM connectors is the output for HB)

It is very important that you take into account the signals +30 and +15, they are very different signals.
In the previous diagram (6R WRC), do not take into account what is related to T10, Red connector and T17, it is something different from the diagrams for the T5 tranporter. For these connectors you must be guided by the diagrams posted in the Transporter thread.

All the above is to code your BCM correctly and that everything works perfectly.

Just the mfsw buttons is illuminated, do I have to code something or to recheck the wiring??

Well, I assume you mean the retaining plate (the thing that holds the mirror in place).
- No, you also need a glue for windows, it is a two-component polyurethane.
It worked remarkably well for me with the original VW glue.

Later I will post some more info here, now I have to fly ...

1.4.1 Preparing windscreen
– All adhesive and primer residue must be removed from the
ceramic pre-coating.
– Clean adhesive surface with cleaning solution D 009 401 04.
– Adhere to flash-off period of at least 10 minutes.
– Apply glass/paint primer D 009 200 02.

1. Interior mirror
– Flash-off period up to bonding: minimum of 10 minutes to
maximum of 1 hour.

1.4.2 Preparing detached or new retaining plate
– Mechanically remove adhesive remains (applies only for a
mirror base which has become detached).
– Prepare adhesive surface by sanding down with wet fine emery
paper (800-1200 grade) until water does not run off surface
to be bonded.
– Then clean with cleaning solution D 009 401 04.

1.4.3 Bonding retaining plate
– Apply 2K polyurethane adhesive D 180 KD2 A1 directly to
prepared and cleaned retaining plate bonding surface.
– Adhesive bead diameter: Approx. 2.5 … 3 mm.
– Press retaining plate into position on prepared windscreen immediately
after applying adhesive.
– Align retaining plate in position on ceramic pre-coat surface
and secure with adhesive tape.

Hi you need to add a new pair of canbus wires from BCM to the instrument cluster. Then it's resolved

For Stalks 7E0 with return spring (1x) you need a slip ring 6R0959654 and perform the basic setting of the slip ring (G85) with VCDS in Address 03: ABS Brakes (J104).

I don't know how you managed to install the 7E0 Stalks with return spring (1x) in your OLD slip ring (which is not the correct fit). Try to do the basic setting.

The pin assignments on the RED connector may be different in the diagrams you are viewing or comparing due to the wiring adaptation, so what really matters are the assignments between the old large T17 connector and the new small T10 connector when making comparisons between diagrams.

I have been missing the stalk and the slip ring, I have ordered them and I hope I will get them in a week

I have looked at the installation tutorial for Adam87, I am thinking of making the same looms
do I have to do the same as adam78 tutorial ??

Well, it is difficult to tell you a resounding yes for several reasons:

- It is a tutorial for some wiring that will be installed in a specific T5, it is not an explanatory guide to install HBA in any T5.

- Adam87's T5 is RHD and yours is LHD.

- The two power cables for the BCM are not taken from the battery-external fuse box, they were taken from the internal fuse boxes of Adam87's T5 because it was possible according to the original electrical installation.
Note: there is no problem if you already have the BCM powered from outside.

- This was the first wiring we did between Adam87 and me to be able to install HBA in a T5, his T5, so the wiring is based on what we had available (original wiring of his T5) and what had to be added or isolated.
What I mean is that they were totally experimental wiring looms that was finally an absolute success, but just then I only had the materials that you see in the tutorial images.
These wiring looms can be made better in regards to the new T3 and T4 connectors for easy wiring installation, ...and other small details that can be done in the installation process.

That is why I told you that perhaps the tutorial could help inspire you with your installation.
