Today the clutch pedal would not return fully so there was only about 3-4 " to press the clutch and it would not release the clutch to change gear so does this mean the clutch needs bleeding or somthing simplar like a broken return spring somewhere .It worked after a while again then went back to being as above any help on this would be great as i am giving this car to my son.

Update:-
seems either the clutch master or slave cylinder has worn seals so have to find out which.
