Blue GT heated seats retrofit

Has anyone had heated seats retrofitted? Not sure whether to contact a main VW dealer or consider going down the aftermarket route with a company such as Motormods...

you can buy used heated seats, or only heating mats.

I'm planning on doing this later and have the switches, loom and module, just need to the heat pads.
