Good Afternoon,
I have tried to have a little scan through the forum but could find anything - sorry if I’m repeating something already queried/posted about.
I have a 1.4TDI and recently, the engine management light has come on. When reading, it comes back with a code that suggests theres a loss of power to the turbo.
The car runs fine until going up hills and there’s a significant loss in power and subsequently speed.
Garage has said there will have to be a full pressure test on the engine and that sounds fairly costly.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance

Possibly stuck turbo vane actuator.
Re: 1.4 TDI - Loss of power to turbo
Good a morning,
The error code reads ‘P0299’ and it’s a ‘Carista’ wireless reader
Below 30k Revs there is no obvious loss in power.
Thanks again
