Bonnet release catch not opening

Hello, just a quick one, my 08 polo seems to be have a bonnet issue, the cable release works fine so it pops open, but the handle under the front of the bonnet doesn't move at all.
was wondering if anyone has any advice on where to pull at the inner latch to get the bonnet to open so I can grease up the main part. I was looking there but I can't seem to see the part that would allow it to release the catch.
