Hello all ,

I am owner of VW POLO 6R TSI 2016 MODEL and it comes with normal radio unit with no gps which is model S5662.
I would like to buy from ebay R096 and replace the existing one .
I would like to know if this will be plug and play and how can i install gps antenna whbe avaiich i assume the cable will not be available as my car doenst have gps system.

If anyone has done this replacement i would like to know how to proceed and special cares to be taken in account .

If you have the Composition Media unit without navigation then retrofitting the Discover Media system which includes navigation is quite expensive as you have to replace both the unit in the glovebox and the head unit. A cheaper and more viable option is to get CarPlay activated on your unit (not all Composition Media units can be activated) for around £200 from your VW dealer. This enable mirroring on your phone so you can plug it into your head unit and use something like Google Maps which will be more up to date that VW maps! Hope that helps.
