Hi

Not had my Polo for long and a few weeks ago I had this message pop-up with the yellow warning triangle "SOS Error: Emergency Call Function! Contact Workshop" It disappeared after a short while.

Same thing happened today. Not spoken to dealer yet, but AA mentioned it happens when there is a problem trying to communicate with the VW SOS service (a red light will appear by the SoS button instead of green), and he seemed to think the fix involved the dealer replacing a module.

Anyone else have this problem, and if so what was the fix?

There’ve been other instances of this reported on some other VAG forums in relation to the current Seat Ibiza and Leon and the mk8 Golf, so it seems it’s a known issue. Not sure if there’s a common cause or what the agreed fix is though.
