Power steering

I’m having loads of trouble with my power steering. After owning the car for about 6 hours the power steering light came on. I’ve now had the car 4 days and I’ve changed the pump an it didn’t do anything. I’ve read all the forums an have done everything they all say. I found the infamous blue cable had broke and I’ve fixed that an now the alternator is working as it should. The battery is new. Please can anyone help me with where to move forward in getting this working
