Just taken delivery of a 21-plate Polo Match 80PS. I just cannot get the Media Player to read my SD Card. Anyone got any tips please?

Hi
Couple of things..
Size of the SD memory?.. there might be a read limitation
Formatted card.. I use SD and format with Windows 10 and use Fat32
Music format.. MP3 .Wav or some other exoitc format?
Try another card?

I use a memory stick for my music collection in the car and have never had any issues with it, so might be worth trying. Having said that, SD cards and memory sticks kept in cars are subjected to extremes of temperature and I did have a previous memory stick fail during a particularly severe cold spell a few years back. I put that failure down to the less than ideal temperature conditions it had been subjected to.
Presumably you’ve tried the SD card elsewhere (e.g. in a laptop) to make sure the SD card isn’t faulty.

Has worked in previous vehicles - Skoda,SEAT.....
CARBON CHAOS - what do you mean by "CarPlay"......?

MP3s and FLACs were not a bother from my Polo - would suggest you reformat to exFAT or FAT32. Size constraints for SD card is huge, so unless you're sporting a 512Gb card, it shouldn't be a bother.
