That's a good idea. I have to find a solution for the remote keys. I'm afraid it has something to do with the cluster change I did recently.

Thanks to Fernando's instructions the job was an easy one. (Sorry about the mess in the trunk compartment)

I'm still looking for a solution to the issue of remote control from the keys.

Maybe Madwarlock can solve the problem of learning the keys. You will need an online connection, the VAS5054, ODIS-E, TeamViewer, and some program to share the USB-OBD2 connection.
If it is your wish, get in touch with Madwarlock - forum's user - (Slavik) and he will explain exactly everything you need.💎

I think you also need to learn a lot about the codings and "adaptation channels" of the control units (BCM, IC, etc). The learning will fix many faults in the replaced control units.
Perhaps the thread dedicated to my wife's Golf can be of great help. viewtopic.php?t=72376
You will find interesting things and others not, but the time you dedicate to it will affect your benefit and your future modifications. Also useful for the next POLO generations.
Normally I do not intervene in threads other than 6R because the procedures to make the modifications are not the same. I do not have a 6C, nor an AW1, etc ...

VCDS is an excellent coding/adaptation tool, but you will need the VAS5054 if you want to make major modifications in your 6C (you have already discovered that it is a very different platform from the 6R).

I like this thread of your Polo 6C, thank you for sharing your projects, images and procedures.👍👍👍

Dear Fernando, thank you very much for your answer.
I appreciate your advice and your time. I don't own a VAS5054A so i don't think is going to work with a online connection to another guy. But i will have it in mind in case of finding no other solution.

I already read your thread about your wife's GOLF. I enjoy reading treads from you, because you always give accurate information about everything you do. Thank you so much for that.
I have understood the need of VAS5054A, because VCDS (an excelent tool) has limited features on my car's platform. On the other hand (VAS5054A) is not cheap tool, that anyone can have it. I have read your posts about VAS5054A ( viewtopic.php?p=549555#p549555 ). If you could me some information about buying this tool, i will appreciate it.
So i have to visit a authorized garage that owns such a tool. And this is probably the next think i have to do. I have no experience using the VAS5054A. On the other hand i know quite well how to operate the VCDS program, but as you told i have to learn a lot about coding.

What I write below is based on a great experience, another type of thinking has weaknesses. It is not a question of money or doubtful legality.
- https://tools4car.co.uk/ , and follow their installation instructions. Video tutorials (youtube).

VAS5054 https://tools4car.co.uk/product/vas-5054/
VAS6154 https://tools4car.co.uk/product/vas6154/
ODIS-E https://tools4car.co.uk/product/odise9-2-2/
ODIS-S https://tools4car.co.uk/product/odis-7-1-1/

Warning!
Please do not try to install the free online downloaded ODIS programs, you will end up wasting a lot of time. (time = money)

Depending on your skills and your devices --> computers/Operative Systems, it will end up working or not.

---

Think that even the Original VAS5054 must also be hacked, so it is not worth it.
If for all this there was something legal for enthusiasts at a reasonable price (100-500 ) I would be the first to have it.

To clarify: I'm friend of VW but a bitter enemy of VW dealers.

Its not hard to install Odis, the hardest part is finding the correct drivers.
The issue with VAS5054A the cheaper one is the quality of components. Expecially due to chip shortage, so voltage regulators burn out etc.
Many people use them with geko accounts.

if you can buy a real thing. Odis also supports passthru, maybe the vcp works

ODIS is a whole different experience

Thank you both for your answers.
Although i know a lot about VCDS since its previous name (VAG COM) i don't know anything about VAS5054 and ODIS.
Early on 2000s i have build my own VAG COM cable using optocouplers and OBD II socket imported from USA. I was using 3.1 vag com version with success at my first car, a SEAT IBIZA.
But now i understand that i have to discover the world of ODIS. I have to buy a VAS5054A and start the experiments.
Is there any thread about the ODIS that i can read in order to start my studies ?

And what about VCP?

Is there any link to compare these?
First two seems to be fairly costly and other two are less costly.
Having VCDS, does anyone should buy either of these?
Counter question could be --- what do you want to do ?
But no specific answer to this.

And does VCDS cable would work or we need some other or third party OBD-USB cable?

because with vas5054A, you can do "dealer work" with online account. Cluster programming, 6c ctuise control activation etc.

Hi, a write to you in youtube sorry, but my english is not so good maybe here i can explain myself better
I was in doubt about the t10 connectors, the correct order is (9,8,10)
in the photo of your post you can't see it and I don't know if the order is actually (8,9 and 10) not (9,8,10)

Hi,
no the orientation is always in the row of the numbers.
So the No10 is the cable at the end of the connector, the No9 is the next one and the No8 the next one.
