TT/Sport pedal covers

Hi,
I've got a set of TT style pedal covers, which the brake and clutch fit fine, however the accelerator does not. I have the LHD accelerator pedal (8N1721647B) as most people say is the one that fits, and it does however it does not stay on due to the top right corner catching on the wheel well when I put my foot to the floor. I noticed the top right corner of the accelerator pedal is cut off on the actual pedal, but not on the LHD pedal cover.
I've found the part number 6Y2721647 which looks exactly the right shape and also has the deeper side on the left but I am just wondering if anyone knows for sure whether or not this will fit the 9N3 accelerator pedal?
