Big Digital Speedo in KPH?

I've got a 2013 Polo 1.2 with a MPH cluster as it's a UK car which I've imported to Ireland. It's got the 'midline' MFD cluster, with no steering wheel controls, only controllable from the wiper stalk, and no settings menu. I'm currently relying on the small KPH display that replaces the odometer reading when moving, but I'd like to enable the large digital speedo in the cluster. It's not available when I cycle through the differnt options on the cluster, fuel, average speed, outside temp, etc.
But I know it must be possible as I've found several pictures of this cluster displaying KPH.
I have a VCDS cable, I just need to know what I need to change to make this work. Can anyone help?
Can't get the image link to work so here it is:

using vcds or carista inside the instrument cluster coding you must change the country to austria.
after that you follow the steps shown in the yt video and it will enable the digital speedo. Yes the video is for a mk6 golf but it's the same steps for a polo.

here is the forum post that explains the steps as well.

Just followed those steps. Got the big digital speedo working, but it's in mph so of no use to me. Not sure if I was clear, but this is a mph cluster, with the speedo dial in mph and all units in mph. Is it possible to set the units to kph on a cluster with mph speedo?

I thought if your speedo was in MPH, the cluster had to show KPH by EU law?
Also adding on to this thread, if I replace my MPH speedo with a KPH one, does anyone know if it will require any re-programming or is it plug and play?

You are correct for the first paragraph, and likewise I think KPH speedo must show MPH in the cluster, I can not confirm the plug and play if changing to KPH from MPH or MPH to KPH, maybe you would need to look into the CAN-Gateway settings as well.

My MPH cluster does show a KPH digital reading, but it is the small one lower down in the display where mileage is usually displayed. What I'm trying to do is get the large digital speedo to show in KPH.
If this is not possible I will probably try to swap it to a KPH cluster.

Think you need to change the country to Australia if I'm not mistaken from the thread posted above by mirceaculita, not Austria. That might do it.
Found this in another thread here:
"Choose Australia as the region for the cluster and save that code. Then press the left button that’s on the cluster three times. The mileage will begin to flash. Press the right button then the left again. Done. Then it’s just a matter of scrolling through your different displays using the end of the wiper stalk and it should show up".

I did manage to work that out given there is no option for Austria. I would have assumed this would change the units to kph but it didn't. I think that if the actual analog gauge displays MPH then the rest of the cluster will only show miles. I hope there is a way to change this in VCDS but I'm rapidly losing hope.

It's possible but requires some changes in eeprom directly. That's not possible with a tool like VCDS.
Please contact me by PM if you're interested.
