Re: From Stock Golf 7.5 to….
Hi everyone.
I would like to change my ka1 stock reversing camera for the high camera.
I had read something in the Seat Leon forum, but looking at Fernando's posts, the adaptation may be modified. I was thinking of buying a 5Q0980568A / B camera and changing it in the mechanism that I already have installed. Then I thought to reassign the current connections adapting them to the new camera.
I was thinking of using the same current and negative, extend two cables looking for the 5F unit (gray connector), but there must be a cable that operates the mechanism of the camera opening when I reverse gear. Here I already have doubts ... What I put is correct or did I go another way ???

Like the interior mirror camera for HBA (basic), the KA2 RVC HIGH works with CAN lines, so the reverse signal wire does not need to be installed, the reverse signal goes through the CAN lines. I wrote it in my diagrams. viewtopic.php?p=581351#p581351
It can also be clearly seen in the video I made, which has a clear message, a little rude , and aggressive but definitely correct and free for anyone who wants to see it and understand it.
The important thing is that the parameterization and calibration are correct for the Golf 7-7.5.
I bought a KA2 camera with emblem (authentic-genuine-OEM), which is already parameterized and calibrated , and will not go into adventures with a high probability of failure if you do not have the correct tools and files.

A video found on youtube, read description, click like:

... in many of these retrofits people comment that they did this and that, but I have seen that many only managed to get the installed system to work, but not correctly (which does not matter if one is happy with what he did ).

Re: From Stock Golf 7.5 to….
Hi everyone.
I was looking at the photos of the KA2 emblem rear camera adaptation process. I have a question with the wiring.
In a extreme of the T8 conector there are five wires....
I have marked the T8 connector, and I am wondering if there are four wires there, because they would be current, ground and the two can bus.
Or is there also a connection to terminal 3 of the E234 connector?
It is that I do not get to appreciate it in the photo.
Another question. In my fuse box, the position SC18 have a fuse of 7.5 amp...... But i see in the diagram 30 amp ?
Fernando, can you tell me what parameter version have your 6C module ? i find in internet the 6C_5Q0980568B-GOLF7_V03935267KG.xml file. Is this like yours ?
Greetings

Re: From Stock Golf 7.5 to….
You don't need any photos of anywhere, look at the diagram, it is exactly 5 wires. (+, -, H, L, REV sig output)
In diagram you have the correct terminal assignment. Crystal clear.
KL 30a means Terminal +30 (Klemme).... not 30 Amps.
My RVC High (6C) has the parameters for Golf, it is original.
It seems that people who swap the camera without changing the emblem usually use the parameters for other models that are available in VCP, ... and they 'appear to be' working correctly.

Thanks Fernando.
I buyed this camera. It have the same hardware and software version likes yours.
Only the parameter file mark the diference. The wires came from AliExpress.

Re: From Stock Golf 7.5 to….
Last Sunday, i updated the 3C module. The firmware file is FL_5Q0907686C__0081.frf and the parameter file for my car golf 7.5 is the V03935258DF versión.
The process was made with odis engineering. I have installed the two odis programs in a virtual machine running windows 7 professional 32 bits. All works fine, except for the little detail that i had not seen the low level of my battery of car. The process was like a christmas tree, all switching on, the virtual cockpit was turned on to the maximum brightness, and errors everywhere flashed and happened next. Luckily the torture lasted only 5 minutes .....
At the end everything was correctly updated to version 0081, from the previous 0080. The coding stayed the same, but the parameter flew...
Do you notice something? .... I see everything the same. all works fine. And the module is updated. I cleaned all the faults.

The parameer number of the 6C unit you show me, is in the file of PassatB8-5Q0980556B-xml. I will try this when i will have all the components in my hands.

I guess this data set for this RVC High is used for several VW models, I have also seen it for the T-Roc.
The control modules for the Lane Change work great with the SW 0081.

Good morning Fernando.
I just received the wires and the camera.
I have a question. In the main wire appears two wires. Where I connect this two wires?

Re: From Stock Golf 7.5 to….
Along with that wiring you must have received a T2 connector that we are going to call 'Adapter', that is where you must insert both wires.
The supposed reason why they are not already installed in the Adapter is that depending on the Golf year manufacture the wires have the numbering of the slots interchanged.
Easy, look at the original T2 connector where you must plug-in said Adapter, and match the wires, brown with brown and violet with violet.

Hello Fernando.
Thanks for your answer and your help. I have the entire area of the camera disassembled. I got all the guts out.
The two cables that I mentioned in the previous post are connected to this connector?
That is, I disconnect it from where it is now and connect it to that adapter?

And the second dude, the conexion that exit from the camera (photo named 1) pass from 3 wires to 2 wires (photo named 2)..... and it follow to this point (photo named 3).
The red and yellow wire is the positive (like spain flag) and the other wire black and blue is the negative ?
