Hi, i need to swap engine in My GTI 2017 1.8tsi. does anyone know which engine i can use to combinded with mine, Audi a3, Audi a4 1.8tfsi 2.0tfsi? Passat 2.0 tfsi? year 2008 - 12. These engines är cheap here. Buuuut could i take One of these and move over turbo, manifold etc etc from mine? Or any ideas of which car i can use as engine donor?

Do you need to replace a sick engine or do you like to upgrade to a more high performance engine?

the stock engine code is DAJ (i believe both manual and dsg are interchangeable) ea888 gen 3

the seat ibiza, audi a1 are the same engine. The issue with using one from a different car is it may use a different gearbox so your stock gearbox won't fit (polo uses 02M equivalent where the others probably use 02Q)

Car decide to go off road and wanted to stand on a big rock exactly under the engine. Havent looked at the car so much yet, but thinked just in case which car i can take engine from. Sadly Ibiza and a1 isnt that cheap as the passat, a3, a4 with 1.8tfsi or 2.0 tfsi.

they will probably be the types of cars with different gearbox which may fit but then the drive shafts may not fit.

i would of thought that there isn't much difference in the engine price ?

The engine is fine but i need a new gearbox. I have googled my eyes sore. What gearbox is the 6 speeed manual? Code? Type? Etc and which cars can i take a gearbox from?

The manual gearbox code in mine is QQR, which is an 0A8 MQ350. From my own research for other things like short shifters and diffs the 0A8 is apparently somewhat different to the other gearboxes in the MQ350 family but what those differences are I don't know.

Does anyone know if the NJU box fits. half the price of a NJU against QQR. Look exactly the same.

I know the QQR transmission is physically smaller, to fit the Polo engine bay in, comparison to other MQ350 gearboxes

NJU is the gearbox from polo gt blue 1.4 140hp 250nm

Seems it's the same housing but different gear ratios
