Polo 1.6 GTi AVY OBD problem HELP PLS!

Post by acabral88 »

Hello everyone, I'm new member from Portugal and I have a problem on my Polo 6N2 that is not easy to solve.
When I try to make a diagnosis in the car I don't have communication and when the VCDS or Autel tries to connect I hear the electric motors of the headlights starts working.
All fuses are OK and I can only diagnose ABS.
I recently got no central lock but the vacuum pump works perfectly on another car.
I have no solutions and I appreciate all the help possible.

Hello,
Yes I have and already removed the radio but the problem remains.
When I remove the fuse number 29 (7.5A- Reversing Lights, Heated Washer Jets, Headlight Levelling) OBD works normally and I can access all modules again including ECU, ABS, Instruments.
Do I need to program my canbus module? I think it's a virtual module that's in the dash instruments.
The headlights are not original and I don't have xenon anymore.
I still have the central locking problem but I haven't had time to check it yet.
I just checked the fuses and they are all ok and I tested the air compressor and it works in another car.
Should I check the plug in the door locks?
Is there a relay for the central lock doors?
Any help is appreciated.
I still need help.

Its probably the headlight levelling, as thats on the cars bus. Id suggest you look down that route

No relay for the locks, just fuses. Not to say you havent got a bad loom in the drivers door, as these often break on the hinge

Thanks for posting this i am also in Portugal Polo 6n2 GTI 1.4 16V Red
I had this very same problem and your post saved me the nightmare wild goose chase of tracking it down
as for the central locking i had where the module connects blue corrosion cleaned the connectors up and it fixed it
sometime the wires break in the loom where the door opens so check them as well
again thanks for posting got me results
