Hi all
I tried to check the engine oil on my sons 9n polo
but the dipstick was tight to push back in
I tried it a couple of times but very tight
has anyone else come across this

No, there's not really anything in the stick or the tube to cause that. Where does it bind?

I'd think that the design of the dipstick means that it would "prefer" to to fitted only in a couple of orientations.
If it is only stick at the final 1/2" maybe the rubber sealing ring at the top is now harden with age.
Also, does this dipstick look like it is a genuine VW Group part?
Maybe someone was replaced the final plastic extension section with an aftermarket version.
