Polo 6C GTI diffuser

Post by HR97 »

Just curious, would anyone buy a set of diffuser fins for a 6C GTI if I made them to order?
I made my own as I didn't like any of the styles out there. I'm a coachbuilder and work with Glass and Carbon Fibre, I made a mould for the set I have and was asked by my boss if I was planning to make more which got me thinking if anyone would buy them.

They're held on with 3M double-sided tape, there is a tab to use screws if you wanted (I found the tape held them fine and has done for the past 4 months.

They look very very clean and very high quality. I'm sure people would buy them if you managed to advertise them enough. At what price would you sell them?

Thank you, I'm super pleased how they turned out!
I haven't really considered a price tbh, I'd have to price up materials, time etc. Off the top of my head I would estimate sub £100 ish

Hi,

I’d be interested in purchasing a set! You still looking at making some?

Hi mate,

Sorry I've only seen the email telling me about your reply.

After working out material costs and time etc. my original estimate is a bit under. For it to be worthwhile I would be looking for £150. Sorry I get that this is a bit more than I orignally thought, but if you are still interested then I'm more than happy to make you some, let me know.

Cheers

Hi Mate,

Yeah I’m definitely still interested. I keep looking at all the current diffusers on the market and they all look the same so this is something unique that looks a lot better!

Cheers

Awesome! Thank you I appreciate that, I like to think they suit the bumper a lot better than the others.

If you want to discuss them, my Instagram is @hrichards.works, (probably the safest way without putting my details out on here) give me a message!
