Hi there,
Out of curiosity, has anyone installed (or attempted to install) the soundaktor from a VW Up GTI into their Polo? Is it even possible to do this?
Has anyone put the Up GTI SoundAktor on a Polo?

Hi,
Actually researched this, and the module beside the soundaktor should be the containing the soundprofile.

Now they’re pretty expensive, and I could not find a dealer that would give me a return policy/deal if it didn’t work.
But I don’t think the 3 cylinder sound profile would match the polo.
I personally would love to try an new s3 module.

Re: Has anyone put the Up GTI SoundAktor on a Polo?
Thanks for the reply, I was considering it for my R-Line 115 which I believe is an identical engine to the Up so I wasn't too worried about the sound being weird. I'm not certain it would be worth it if they are expensive combined with the effort of getting it to work.
The reason I looked at it was thinking it would be more sensible than putting a loud exhaust on a small engined car.

@kieranhendy; interesting you’re thinking of adding a soundaktor to your car.
IMHO the fake engine noise sounds just…….fake and isn’t very realistic. One of the first things I did in my GTI+ was to turn it down to ‘eco’ so you don’t really hear it, and many Golf GTI owners either turn it down, code it out or simply disconnect it.
If I owned an R Line I certainly wouldn’t be thinking of adding one, but it’s your car and if it’s what you want, go for it!

Is it not relativley easy just to remove it completely? Save taping things up / still have it interfer with the cars actual sound in the background?
