clutch cable gti

Hello friends . I just bought a 2002 polo gti with the intention of restoring it .The clutch catches all the way up and slipping .Does it have a cable adjustment that i can adjust to make it better temporarly until i replace the clutch? Also what brand of clutch do ypu recomend? I am not planning to modify too much
