I have a very annoying problem which is often leaving my car stalling or limping to the next petrol station.

I have no idea how much fuel is actually in my tank. £10 of fuel shows full tank. I often fill it to the top but have no idea how much I have used.

Anyone know why my fuel gauge does not show correct readings?

Did the gauge work before? Battery is good? It's possible you might have a faulty float/sender or lost the ground connection. You could try a battery disconnect.
