No idea what type of alarms / immobilisers VW fit to their cars. VW may deliberately not publicise this information; if a would-be perpetrator knew which specific alarm / immobiliser was fitted to a particular make and model of car, then it might make it easier for them to steal the car!
Thatcham used to have a listing (or a link to a listing) on their website of vehicles fitted with alarms and immobilisers that were approved by them. Try a search on ‘is 2022 vw polo alarm Thatcham approved?’ or a similar search to see which model Polos are on the list.
I’d be surprised if the current Polo R-Line - or any current model Polo for that matter - doesn’t have a Thatcham approved security device fitted when the car is built; most car manufacturers have been fitting Thatcham approved security devices to cars destined for the UK market for many years.

Volkswagen fit as standard a Thatcham category 2 immobiliser or category 1 alarm to nearly all new cars built for the UK market. Privately imported car models or older cars will have no Thatcham approved security at all.
Cars fitted with Category 2 immobiliser
Polo (all models) Jan 00 – on
Cars fitted with Category 1 alarm
Polo (all models except E & S) Jan 02 – on
