Polo Challenge Car

Hello,
I've just recently bought a 2001 Polo Challenge car 1.4 16v with the intension of rebuilding/restoring it to its former glory and then competing in stage rallies with it.
However I know ever little about these cars, I bought it with the engine blown up and a new/secondhand half built engine. I've now stripped the new engine and the blocks are different, googling the engine code/part number on it 030103021ca and it appears to be a 1.6 8v block.
On the logbook the engine variant is SCAUBX01 and the version is SGFM5850071N1141, I'm guessing the engine code I need is AUB?
I would like to but don't have to use the original head as its ported and polished and matched to the throttle bodies.
My questions, does anyone have 1.4 16v block/engine they want to sell?
Is there a 1.6 block my head would bolt onto for added CC?
Is there a more modern 1.4/1.6 engine that would would go in and make more power with the throttle bodies on?
Does anyone have any information on these cars?
Thanks in advance, Dale.
