Hi guys
At this moment I have a RNS315 in my polo 6R 2010. It already has BT build in the system.
Now I found a guy who is willing to change his RNS510L for my RNS315.
The RNS510 has ssd and bigger screen. But no BT.
1) what would you advise
2) will it work
Please looking forward to you replies.
Gr Jim

Re: RNS510 instead of RNS315
What real advantages does the RNS510 give you over your existing RNS315 apart from the larger screen?
I’m not technically minded so don’t know if the RNS510 would be plug and play installation and whether or not it would work. However, if it doesn’t, and as the unit you’re being offered doesn’t have Bluetooth, I’d keep the existing RNS315.

Hi
Like you Say the RNS510 has bigger screen and SSD, but not BT, there is a simpel solution for 40 Eur a bt Modul. But not original premium ( 200 euro)
The rns315 has smaller display and no storage capacity, but bt build in.
Pfff hard

Re: RNS510 instead of RNS315
We have an RNS510 in one of our cars. The sat nav directions generally and ability to respond to traffic issues are pretty poor IMHO, so don't get it for that - although it is a useful backup if the phone runs out of charge or you have no data.
On the plus side I do like the "talk to it" feature to dial numbers, etc. We have MFSW with it, which may be required for that. And of course a VW Bluetooth module is required to make things work, preferably selected to be compatible with your highline display if you have one.
