Hi,
Just bought a 2009 Polo 1.416v hatchback [9n Mk4]. Wanted to replace the headunit and when I took off the installed aftermarket radio I came across the original connector but it had a brown cable disconnected from it and wrapped in foam padding. I don't know if it should be reconnected or left as it is. I want to install a 7inch Joying unit double din but don't know if it will work if the brown cable is left disconnected or would I need to connected it back into the original connector? If I need to reconnect then what tool will I need to do this as I'm not sure if pushing it in with a standard screw driver will work. Attaching couple of pics. Any help would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks
Replacing Headunit

Re: Replacing Headunit
that's a normal quadlock connector. you might need an adapter for your new headunit.
the brown wire is a ground, i think it's fine to leave it as is.
