Hello everybody. Just to introduce myself, my name is Herbert and are driving a 2010 Polo R6 1.2 TDI. Retired from an international career in field engineering (electrical, electronics, power, control, drive systems, instrumentation, process plant control, etc.)
Recently during troubleshooting an electrical issue, the following question popped up:
From the PLC environment I remember that for diagnostic purposes, an output bit can be set/toggled.
I wonder whether or not this also applies to the BCM installed in my car (6R0937088D), in combination with the VCDS s/w. Has anybody experience with this?
Appreciate your support very much and thanks a lot in advance.

there are about 30 bytes with each 8 bits. So 240 options, give or take. What is it you want to do?

Sympli meant “Output Tests”, an advanced VCDS function with support of the car’s Factory Repair Manual, as described in detail the documentation available.
Excuse me; shouldn’t have bothered you guys/ladies with this question.
