Vcds VAG COM

Hey Polo folks
I have a 6n2 GTI and i have a problem were, when i want to connect a VCDS tester i cant get any communication with anything not the ABS nor the enigne.
So here is the weird thing i read a while back when i needed to connect a VCDS tester that i needed to pull the fuse for the headlight leveling and boom i could connect to ABS and enigne and all the other systems just not the headlight of course.
Any of you folks ever had that problem??
