So coming from mark 8 golf , where the full-screen sat nav option on the dashboard was only the inbuilt nav system, I found it useless compared to my apple maps. I heard that on later models you could have your sat nav preference on full screen on the dashboard display like google or apple, and not just on the infotainment screen. Does the facelift gti have this option at all, or is that an optional extra or just not on the polo?

I’m afraid not. Only the Vw sat nav appears on the digital display. I don’t mind it when it updates over the air as I had it on my Tiguan, but some prefer other modes.

The polo also had the last gen of infotainment thankfully, as the golfs is knackered.
