Hi, having an absolute nightmare replacing rear axle bushes. I have managed to get one side done I put bush in from outside to inside and it was extremely tight. Since watching more videos about subject most folk tend to put bush from inside to outside. My question is can I put other bush in from inside to outside or do they both have to match. Just trying to make life a bit easier as I'm ready to give up with this car.

I have replaced the rear axle bushes a few years ago.
After removing the axle bolt you will need to lower the rear suspension then lever down the rear axle.
I had to drill out the bushing material and then hammer out the old bushes.
To install the new bushes what I can remember you can only install them from the inside to outside and use alignment tab and you will a special tool or make your own.
I purchased an installer tool from ebay for about £20 (then) saved so much time and hassle.
I hope you're talking about 1J0501541C (6R0501541B) or (Febi 31722)

The bushes need to be the same and as OEM with the flange towards the outer of the car as the bush is designed to work this way around ,ie how you have fitted the first bush
